This is usually how Mira looks after waking up from a nap. Of late she has taken a serious liking for cookies and milk as you can see in the photo above. I left the film borders in during the scan to see what effect it would have on scan quality. It did seem to throw my scanner off a bit requiring me to do some post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop.
I consider myself a fairly experienced photographer having worked with artists, couples, groups, and gatherings but never a new born other than my own kid, Mira. I spent a lot of time planning for this session knowing that nothing is predictable with a new born. Meredy was a joy to photograph and her mom and grand ma were extremely helpful in posing the baby and making sure that she was comfortable. We broke the 3 hour session into several mini-sessions to give plenty of feeding and diaper changing breaks. Here are some selected photos from that session.
